Attention FusionReactor Cloud users:
Important upgrade required for version 8 & 9 users

Action required by Feb 29, 2024

Over time, we’ve made substantial strides in enhancing the FusionReactor agent. These improvements not only bolster its security and capabilities but also bring an array of features previously exclusive to on-premise solutions directly to our cloud users.

After February 29, 2024, we will no longer support FusionReactor agent versions 8 and 9 running with a cloud license.

Why you should upgrade:

Upgrading to the latest versions of FusionReactor is essential for several reasons:

  • Security: Receive the latest updates for maximum protection.
  • Performance: Enjoy enhanced data processing and stability.
  • Compliance with modern standards: Benefit from agents using open standards.
  • Access to new features: Take advantage of advanced features like real-time insights and expanded support for new languages and frameworks.

What happens if you don’t upgrade?

If you are currently using FusionReactor Cloud versions 8 or 9 and do not upgrade by the deadline, you will face significant disruptions:

  • Licensing: Your FusionReactor instance will become unlicensed.
  • On-prem access: Access to on-premise functionalities will be lost.
  • Cloud data: No data will be accessible in the cloud.
  • Data availability: With a cloud license, you won’t be able to access any data.

Will an older version still work with an On-premise license key?

Yes, the older version of On-premise will continue to work, although we recommend that you update your agent in order to keep your applications safe.

What if I am running Java 6 or Java 7?

FusionReactor 10 and above do not support Java 6 or Java 7. You can continue to use an older version of the FusionReactor agent, but you must use an on-premise license key and not connect to the cloud. If you require an on-premise license key then please contact us.

The upgrade process:

We have streamlined the upgrade process to be efficient and user-friendly. It involves a brief downtime for a restart and will require redeployment of your application. Our team is committed to assisting you throughout this process to ensure a smooth transition.

Support and guidance:

We understand that upgrading your system can be a daunting task. Our support team is ready to provide all the assistance you need. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or for help with the upgrade process.

Conclusion: Ensure that your system remains functional

This upgrade marks a significant step towards a more integrated, robust, and feature-rich monitoring ecosystem.

We urge our cloud users to upgrade all FusionReactor 8 & 9 instances by February 28th 2024 to enjoy uninterrupted service and welcome our on-premise users to join in these advancements. Download the latest agent.
